Benjamin "Ben" Grimm, better known as Thing, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics. He is a founding member of the Fantastic Four.
Thing first appeared in The Fantastic Four # (November ), created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
As a result of exposure to cosmic rays, Ben Grimm transformed into a grotesque, rock-like humanoid. While he possesses immense superhuman strength, durability, and stamina, he is often depicted as bitter about his permanent transformation. He often laments with the catchphrase, "It's clobberin' time!".
